Each piece of Gyotaku artwork is unique. Pricing is dependent on size, rarity, framing, and other particulars. Typical Gyotaku artwork completed by the artist focuses on the natural beauty of the specimen, and follows the classical philosophy of this art style. In that sense, fish are usually printed in monotone black, and the eye is dressed out in simple red. This allows the natural features of the fish to be emphasized in exacting detail. However, the artist is happy to oblige with any special requests, including particular species, colors, and framing. Please feel free to contact the artist directly to discuss your ideas and arrange for custom artwork. |
